About Us

Hi there! I'm Tania Skalozub, the creative mind behind Tscrochetdesign.

My crochet journey started when I was just six years old, learning from my beloved granny. I took a break from crocheting to design and sew artist toys for 16 years, but life took an unexpected turn in August 2022. After leaving my home in Ukraine due to the war, I struggled with depression and rediscovered crocheting as a way to find happiness again. Seeing Sam Ryder on a stage in a gorgeous granny square cardigan inspired me to create my own unique crochet designs.

At Tscrochetdesign, my goal is to make fun and eye-catching crochet patterns that help you stand out and look amazing, whether you're at the beach, a party, or just hanging out with friends. I want to give you a great time crocheting and help you create a special look that shows off your personality. I love learning from other designers, finding new techniques and ideas, and using them to create my own special designs.

My family is always there for me, cheering me on and helping out. My elder daughter Nadiia models my crochet sweaters and helps make videos and Instagram reels. My younger daughter Taisiia sometimes helps me finish pieces when I'm short on time, and my sons Max and Pavlo always tell me how talented I am, encouraging me not to stop. My husband listens to my ideas, and even our dog keeps me company, reminding me of my big goal – to make the world a better place through crochet.
