Great Granny

I love love love this pattern. It’s very easy to understand and there is even a YouTube tutorial with it.

It is in US terms. But, it is easily converted to UK terms by switching the double crochet to a treble crochet, throughout.

There is also a layout diagram which is very helpful.

I have switched my base colour to black instead of swan. But, you can really use any colours you like with this pattern; a real opportunity to be creative with colour.

I think this pattern would be great for a beginner as it is made with granny squares which is a great place for any crocheter to start.
